As a self-taught photographer, Andrew faced numerous obstacles along the way. However, his  perseverance, and willingness to learn from both successes and failures allowed him to refine his craft continuously. Being familiar with the East Rand, Andrew Mkize found inspiration in the region's diverse culture, landscapes, and its vibrant mix of personalities and characters. Through his lens, he aimed to portray the hidden  untold stories of the place he called home using visuals to tell a story of a thousand words.Andrew's photographic style evolved into a stunning blend of documentary and artistic photography.
